The Work that Reconnects
July 20 | 10:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. | Ojai, CA
Join us under the shaded embrace of a walnut canopy for a journey of connection and embodiment as we transform our grief for the world into heart-centered action.
“The sorrow, grief, and rage you feel is a measure of your humanity and your evolutionary maturity. As your heart breaks open there will be room for the world to heal.” ⁃ Deep Ecologist Joanna Macy
As we all awaken to the need for change, and business as usual continues crumbling, we are invited to grieve together in whatever ways our hearts call for.
In the Work That Reconnects, we journey through a four phase spiral that helps us alchemize our grief and find our unique way of loving the world, opening our hearts more deeply to the earth and to each other.
Through communal circles, song, ritual and guided exploration, this workshop will give us a chance to be in grief together, witness each other, and transform our despair into deeper connection and empowered action.
Includes
Guided Ritual: Altar building, song, circle, dialogue, movement, silence & sound bath
Earth connection & community: spend a day outside on a regenerative farm with like-hearted earth lovers
Nourishment: a simple organic, GF vegetarian lunch will be provided along with herbal infusions and teas to support heart opening
Your Facilitators
Pam Soffer MA, AMFT - Pam is a nature based depth psychotherapist who deeply believes that our personal healing is interdependent with healing our relationship to the earth - in order to serve the great turning we must reclaim our ability to feel the full scope of our experience. She works with individuals and groups in the LA area.
Andie Valleau (she/they) - Andie is a care worker, death worker, songwriter & land tender from Los Angeles (Tovaangar) who knows from experience that opening to grief is opening to love. She first experienced The Work that Reconnects with Joanna Macy in 2018 and was inspired to share and facilitate soon after.
